Internationally recognized expert on combat trauma: LTC Robert L. Mabry, MD

Before attending medical school, LTC Robert Mabry served for 11 years as a U.S. Army Ranger and Special Forces medical sergeant. He is also a paramedic, a diving medical technician, high angle rescue instructor and flight surgeon. He served as the senior search and rescue medic for Task Force Ranger in Mogadishu, Somalia, and as a Special Forces battalion surgeon during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. His military awards include the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Emergency Medicine residency and EMS fellowship in San Antonio, TX, as well as the Army Command and Staff College. He is currently the director of the Military Emergency Medical Services Fellowship program and has written numerous articles and book chapters related to battlefield medical care.
